Cultivating Creative Curiosity

A quote….

We cultivate creative curiosity by listening deeply and allowing space for inspiration

Questions…

  • Where does our creativity come from ?
  • What is the source of our creativity ?
  • How can we have more of it ?

A recipe for the cultivation of creative curiosity …

We need to find ways to encourage, facilitate & allow our creative juices to flow.  We must give ourselves permission to play, to experiment and to make mistakes.  To use the tools and resources that we have available without fear of waste and without expectation of ‘achievement’ or ‘success’.  In short we have to allow ourselves to be free.

We should keep an eye out for that master of self-doubt…the Inner Critic, as we listen deeply to the source of our creative ideas and learn to distinguish between the sound of your intuition guiding you and your inner critic misleading you.

We need to allow and actively create space within which our creative curiosity and inspiration can surface and where we can breathe life into it by listening & taking action

Creative recovery is an experiential process – not an intellectual process

Julia Cameron
